Arizona Congressional Candidate Announces Hiring of Caplin & Drysdale After Reporting Errors

Sheriff Paul Babeu is a well known Republican candidate running for the open seat in Arizona's First Congressional District.  After errors in the campaign's paperwork, his campaign announced the hiring of Caplin & Drysdale's Trevor Potter, a former chairman of the Federal Election Commission, and the intention of relying on the firm's political law practice going forward. Mr. Babeu's campaign manager William Conner said in a statement the hiring of the law firm will ensure paperwork mistakes don't happen again. "The vast experience of Trevor Potter and his team will be a welcome addition to our campaign," said Mr. Conner.
