Benjamin Z. Eisenstat returned to Caplin & Drysdale in 2015 as an Associate in the Tax Controversies Group after being a Summer Associate with the firm in 2013.
As a member of the Tax Controversies Group, Mr. Eisenstat assists individuals and corporations in matters relating to compliance with their U.S. tax obligations, including offshore voluntary disclosure of foreign accounts, as well as IRS audits and investigations. Additionally, he advises clients on:
- criminal law issues, specifically with regard to employment tax matters;
- procedural challenges in a tax controversy setting or context; and
- voluntary disclosure and streamlined submissions.
