Caplin Partners with Habitat for Humanity and Buildable Hours

07.08.2016

On June 30, 2016 Caplin & Drysdale attorneys and support staff lent a hand to help Washington, D.C., families achieve the goal of home ownership. Through Buildable Hours, a nonprofit co-founded by Member Scott D. Michel, the Caplin crew volunteered at a Habitat for Humanity site in North East Washington where they spent the day building fences, landscaping, and cleaning. “Buildable Hours does an amazing job partnering with Habitat for Humanity to provide local D.C. families with new or newly renovated homes in underserved communities,” said Amanda Leon, a Summer Associate with Caplin & Drysdale. “It was extremely gratifying to add the final touches to the home I volunteered at last year during its beginning stages.“
