David Rosenbloom Comments on Crackdown on Corporate Tax Avoidance

This year has seen multiple efforts by tax authorities around the world cracking down on corporate tax avoidance measures. Here, Law360 takes a look back at the five biggest policy measures taken to ensure that businesses pay their fair share of taxes.

The model U.S. income tax convention is the starting point for tax treaty negotiations, and it remains to be seen whether some of the measures will be adopted in negotiated treaties or if they can win approval by the Senate.

"By putting it in the model, we're saying, 'We're ready to do this with anyone,'" David Rosenbloom of Caplin & Drysdale Chtd. said in an interview with Law360 earlier this year. "It basically establishes a dispute resolution mechanism that works. It's kind of an amazing thing."
