Christopher Rizek Comments on Exchange of U.S. Taxpayer Data

Speaking May 3 on a panel about taxpayer protections in cross-border taxation at the International Conference on Taxpayer Rights in Amsterdam, Christopher Rizek of Caplin & Drysdale noted that U.S. taxpayer data is exchanged more than 7 billion times a year with either foreign countries or within the United States. The panel also discussed whether taxpayers should be notified any time their information is exchanged or transmitted.
