Mr. Caplin, Chairman of the Advisory Board for THIS, was noted for his ongoing commitment to the organization which he has been a member of since 1964. Referred to as a "DC law legend," Mr. Caplin was also cited for his many contributions to tax law, including his tenure as the Commissioner of the IRS and his years as an educator at UVA and NYU.
