Daniel Rosenbaum to Present Webcast on the Employment Tax Compliance Program

03.25.2010

Date: March 25, 2010

Time: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM EST

Program Description: Newly trained IRS employment tax agents will audit 6,000 companies as part of an "Employment Tax Compliance Program" announced last year. A primary focus of the compliance audits will be the company's classification of certain persons as independent contractors rather than employees. How will you be impacted?

In this webcast presented by Caplin & Drysdale and Grant Thornton LLP, you will find out more about the scope of the Employment Tax Compliance Project, including independent contractor classification issues - which appear to be the main focus of the project - legislative activity and the Obama administration's proposals, both of which are aimed at supporting the IRS's efforts. In addition, state initiatives in the audit area will be discussed.

By attending this webcast, you will receive background and guidance to prepare for the coming surge in employment tax activity. In addition, our presenters will provide an update on new IRS and legislative initiatives in worker classification and employment tax area.
