Niles Elber Explores Title 31 International Penalties at ABA May Meeting

This panel will explain what to expect during, and best practices to defend against, the assessment and collection of Title 31 civil penalties. The panelists will also explore collection devices available to the IRS under Title 31, collection devices available to the Tax Division after FBAR penalty assessments are reduced to judgment, and collection alternatives clients may pursue in either collection scenario.
