H. David Rosenbloom to Appear before the Standing Committee on Finance

On Thursday, February 7th, 2013, from 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.,The House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance (Canada) will hold hearings on its Study of Tax Evasion and the Use of Tax Havens this winter, pursuant to the adoption of the following motion by the Committee:
That the Standing Committee on Finance resume its study on tax evasion; that the evidence and documentation received by the Committee during the third session of the 40th Parliament on the subject be taken into consideration by the Committee in this session; that the Committee further examine international tax planning in order to ascertain emerging best practices in foreign jurisdictions; and that the Committee make recommendations to the government to combat tax evasion and the use of tax havens.
Caplin and Drysdale's H. David Rosenbloom will appear as a witness before the Committee on this Study. His testimony follows that of Scott D. Michel, who testified before the Committee on February 8, 2011, regarding offshore banking and undeclared accounts.
