Mark Allison to Speak on Motions in Limine

This panel will (1) consider the various ways that motions in limine are used in tax cases, (2) explore the manner, timing and strategic use of such motions by Government counsel and taxpayers, and (3) develop an understanding of the manner in which courts consider and rule on such motions. These aspects will be discussed in light of recent court decisions, the rules of procedure and evidence in the various tax case forums, and any relevant trends in the use of motions in limine. The panel will start at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 11.
