Scott D. Michel & H. David Rosenbloom to Speak at ABA Section of Taxation's Conference on International Tax Enforcement

11.08.2012
International Tax Enforcement Conference Description:

The surge of tax enforcement activity by governments around the globe is having an increasing impact on practitioners and their clients doing business abroad. To address how this important and rapidly changing area of the law affects your tax practice, the ABA Section of Taxation, IBA Taxes Committee, and TEI are bringing together high-level speakers and leading tax experts from government, industry, and private practice for a timely conference on international tax enforcement.
This one and a half day program is designed for both in-house and outside tax professionals and will help you gain a practical understanding of international tax enforcement rules and procedures and how they apply to your practice.

The conference, co-chaired by Caplin & Drysdale's Scott Michel, will feature H. David Rosenbloom as Keynote Speaker. Mr. Rosenbloom's presentation will begin at 1:30 PM on November 8.

Mr. Michel will also chair the panel "Developments in Criminal Enforcement," which will address developments in criminal tax enforcement as they relate to international issues, including (but not limited to) corporate criminal liability foreign account matters, recent cases, and the voluntary disclosure policy. The panel will be held from 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM on November 9.

The conference will be held at the Grand Hyatt New York on November 8-9, 2012.
