Employment Law Of Counsel or Member (Partner) - Washington, D.C.
Caplin & Drysdale seeks an Employment Law attorney ideally with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to join our firm in the Washington, DC office in either an Of Counsel or Member (Partner) capacity. Remote candidates are welcome to apply. Ideal candidates will have general employment law experience. Special consideration will be given to those that have experience working with nonprofit organizations and/or Political/Advocacy Organizations or expertise with collective bargaining agreements. Candidates with a portable book of business helpful but not required.
Candidates will work primarily with our Exempt Organizations and Political Law practice groups on a wide range of employment law issues. Projects generally will include advising and providing practical legal guidance to clients on employment-related matters, including interpreting employment laws and regulations, assessing potential risks, and advising on employment best practices. Candidates will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing employment contracts and other employment-related legal documents, such as policies and handbooks, providing training regarding compliance with state and federal employment laws, and maintaining regular communication with clients.
