Exempt Organizations Group Hosts Nonprofit Leaders

Caplin & Drysdale's Exempt Organizations Group – in association with WMACCA – hosted a full house of nonprofit leaders on October 1, 2014 for a thought-provoking, half-day workshop, "Wearing Multiple Hats: Common Challenges for GCs Advising Related Organizations." Caplin attorneys led the discussions and shared their expertise regarding the complex web of legal, business and ethical challenges facing in-house lawyers who serve multiple entities. Speakers included William M. Klimon, William D. Fournier, and Christopher S. Rizek.  Several panels also featured in-house advisors who shared their experiences and insight--including Cindy Lewin, General Counsel of AARP; Katherine Karl, Deputy General Counsel of American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network; and Jami Wyatt, Senior Counsel at AARP.
