Conversation with Caplin Celebrates Pride Month with Discussion Between Paul Smith and Trevor Potter

On June 9, 2022 Caplin & Drysdale’s Talent Strategy Committee hosted our fourth Conversations with Caplin event in honor of Pride Month.

During the virtual event our committee welcomed Paul Smith from the Campaign Legal Center and our very own Trevor Potter.  Victor Jaramillo, Chair of the Talent Strategy Committee, moderated the conversation with Mr. Smith and Mr. Potter where they discussed Lawrence v. Texas the landmark gay rights case in which Mr. Smith argued before the U.S. Supreme Court, past experiences of being an open member of the LGBTQIA+ community at a large law firm, and how the potential leaked decision on abortion could affect the LGBTQIA+ community.

As part of a broader inclusion initiative the Talent Strategy Committee will be hosting more Conversations with Caplin programs in 2022.  Please stay turned for future program announcements.
