Shamara James and Allison Scoggin Selected for 2025 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Program
Caplin & Drysdale is pleased to announce that Associates Shamara James and Allison Scoggin have been selected to be part of the Pathfinder program with Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).
Ms. James and Ms. Scoggin will participate in LCLD’s Pathfinder program which focuses on early-career attorneys. The program connects high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds with LCLD Member organizations, providing professional and personal development opportunities through trainings and meetings on leadership and relationship building.
In 2009, LCLD was founded to build a legal profession as diverse and dynamic as the country is serves. In the last 15 years, LCLD has designed five different programs to attract, inspire, and nurture legal talent thereby helping a new and more diverse generation of attorneys ascend to positions of leadership.
Shamara R. James joined Caplin & Drysdale as an Associate in the firm’s Exempt Organizations practice group in 2021. Ms. James represents private foundations, public charities, and other tax-exempt organizations on a wide range of complex tax matters.
Allison Scoggin is an Associate in Caplin & Drysdale’s Bankruptcy and Complex Litigation practice group where she advises corporations, individuals, and nonprofits on complex issues in state and federal courts across the country.
