TODAY Quotes Matthew Sanderson on Conflicts Facing Trump's Son-in-Law

During an interview with Jamie Gorelick, Jared Kushner’s attorney, TODAY's Matt Lauer quoted Caplin & Drysdale’s Matthew T. Sanderson on whether Mr. Kushner, president-elect Trump’s son-in-law and now senior advisor, could divest his direct interests in a wide range of businesses in time for the president-elect’s inauguration and also separate himself from the appearance of links to these businesses.  Kushner is expected to sell some of his interests to his brother and place other interests in a trust controlled by his mother.  Mr. Lauer stated that “a prominent attorney who used to work for Senator Rand Paul, Matthew Sanderson, said ‘this sounds like a shell game’ because you’re taking an asset and just moving it to a family member.”  Please visit the TODAY Show’s website to view the interview in its entirety.
