Trevor Potter on the State of Money & Politics

"We are in a really dangerous place in terms of money and politics and its effect on Congress, on our system," Trevor Potter warns in a video produced by the Campaign Legal Center.  He focuses on the amount of time that incumbents currently spend on fundraising activity, taking away from time available for  legislating and problem solving. But he emphasizes that there are things that can be done to improve the situation.  Mr. Potter's comments were made in his capacity as President of the Campaign Legal Center, a nonprofit focused on "representing the public interest in enforcement of campaign and media law."
