Jack Solano joined Caplin & Drysdale as an Associate in the firm’s Complex Litigation and Bankruptcy practice groups in 2025.
Services
Mr. Solano works on a range of complex business, financial, and tort litigation issues for clients in courts across the country. In addition, he works to protect the rights and interests of creditors, tort claimants, and official creditors’ committees in mass tort bankruptcies and other bankruptcy cases involving substantial liabilities.
Highlights
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Solano served in various legal roles in government and politics. As counsel for Senator Richard J. Durbin’s Judiciary Committee staff, he drafted reforms to the Bankruptcy Code, managed complex multi-party negotiations, and led multiple high-profile whistleblower investigations. He also served as counsel for the House Committee on Homeland Security, and most recently on the Biden/Harris Presidential Campaign legal team. In that role, he advised leadership on novel legal questions related to AI, designed crisis response strategies, and assisted with Hatch Act and campaign finance issues.
Mr. Solano is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where he represented tenants and homeowners in Housing Court as a member of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau and served as Managing Editor of the Harvard Latino Law Review.
