On International Women's Day, and every day, Caplin & Drysdale honors the women of the firm who contribute to our continued success.
The firm has a long history of women in leadership positions. Patricia Lewis was our first female President, serving in that role from 1996 to 1998; Beth Kaufman was elected President in February 2015 and served until September 2018; and Member Ann McMillan has served as the DC office's Managing Member since 2010. Additionally, 37% of our attorneys are women and 32% of our shareholders are women compared to the legal industry's average of 18% (Source: 2017 ABA "Women in the Law" survey).
